The Kyowa Medilux-12 Microscope brings superior research-level
optics and Kyowa system flexibility to critical laboratory and classroom
microscopy. With high-resolution TC optics, rugged construction, and
built-in safety features, the Medilux-12 is designed to give years of professional performance and reliability for a low initial investment.
The heart of the remarkable Medilux-12 system is full range of newly
designed TC (true color correction) A Series of objectives and WH Series
eyepieces, whose unparalleled clarity of detail and color help identify
and interpret specimens faster and easier. The unrivalled sharpness and flatness of field of the TC optics is enhanced by a high-efficiency 6V
20W tungsten halogen Koehler-type illumination and centrable field diaphragm, critical-focusing Abbe or Achromat condenser. In addition,
the new precision coarse and fine coaxial focus knobs ensure easy, exact
focusing throughout the entire magnification range. The coaxial stage
control knobs are located close to the focusing knobs, low enough to
permit operation without having to raise the arm off the arm rest or get
your fingers jammed between the stage focus controls. Both binocular
and trinocular heads have a visual angle of 45° in the most comfortable
position and can be rotated 360°.
The Kyowa Medilux-12 is also designed with education in mind. Its
die-cast alloy stand provides the ruggedness and stability necessary for
heavy institutional use. Likewise, a built-in stage-stop mechanism and
spring-loaded 20X, 40X and 100X objectives protect both specimen and
objective from accidental damage. The Medilux-12 is also equipped with
a ball-bearing quintuple revolving nose piece for smoother operation. The
nose piece is also available in a sextuple version.
UNILUX-12
The Kyowa Unilux-12 provides the performance and versatility in
classroom and laboratory microscopy at an extremely affordable price.
The Unilux-12 is identical to the Medilux-12, offering the same superb
optical quality. However, it differs in the two following respects: The
revolving nose piece is a quadruple and two types of illumination
systems are available-a 30W tungsten or 6V 20W tungsten halogen
critical illumination systems. Each illuminator has a simple bulb change-over and alignment.
